Climate

The climate is tropical with a mild winter from December to January

Rainfall

The National Park receives both southwest and northeast monsoons. Heaviest rainfall is during June , July and August. There is considerable variation in the intensity of rainfall across the area. There is also increase in precipitation as one goes from foothills to the high ranges.

Temperature

The temperature varies widely both in the plains as well as in the hills. The temperature variation in plains is between 21° C to 40° C compared to ranges of 10° C to 30° C in the hilly areas. Average minimum temperature ranges from 8°C to 14°C and average maximum temperature varies from 23°C to 29°C.

 
 
 

Perhaps it was all worth it. Some human being walking through it sometimes, passing an inner revolution, shall ask the question : " Oh Mother, am I thy flesh and blood, feel and fever; shall I be thine and would would you be mine ?" That Silent question will be responded to in Silence; in the Silence by the reverential bowing of human will and the trailing branches of trees in Silent Valley.
